  2. Eminem would be great and he's touring and he's a infamous non tourer so it'd be great to have him back before its too late js

    1. I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. OutKast is by far the most probable rap headliner this year.

  3. Foster the People too is a good contender seeing they're not announced in Montreal in their American Tour

    1. They are skipping Montreal, but don't have any North American dates near Osheaga. Not saying they're not a possibility, but many other acts skip Montreal: Manchester Orchestra, Cage the Elephant, The National, Foals and How To Dress Well (just to name a few) recently added dates in Toronto but not Montreal.

  4. A lot of people want somewhat big-name DJ's! EDM is increasing in popularity greatly, I think some DJ's that should go are as following: Kap Slap, 3LAU, White Panda Music, deejaytrademark, Steve Aoki, Lucky Date, Deorro, Diplo, Tommy Trash, DVBBS, Afrojack, etc... I personally believe that good DJ's will attract more people and allow a greater environment. Just a thought!

  5. Imagine Dragons has no tour dates for a month which just so happens to overlap with osheaga

    1. Yes, but Imagine Dragons was at Osheaga in the summer of 2013 AND will be performing in Montreal in March... I do not think that they will be at Osheaga in 2014.

  6. Think the headliners will be a combination of Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, Muse and Outkast. Also think it's safe to say Neutral Milk Hotel, Lorde, Foster the People and Cage the Elephant will be there. Also think there may be a good chance of Arctic Monkeys and Childish Gambino

    1. Arcade Fire are playing Parc Jean-Drapeau later in August, so they're out. Muse is not really touring, so it would be surprising. Kings of Leon isn't a big enough draw in Montreal to play twice in six months (see: show in two weeks where floor tickets are still available). Outkast, on the other hand, is pretty much a lock.

  7. Figured Arcade Fire and Muse (Beck wasn't touring much last year either) because they're headlining Coachella as well. The Killers could be in the mix too.

    1. Muse is only playing one North American festival this year, and that is Coachella.
      The Killers are possible.

  8. I know Vampire Weekend played last year but they have a wide-open schedule after Governor's Ball? And what about Lana Del Rey?

    1. A large act such as Vampire Weekend would not play in consecutive years, especially with no new music. Lana Del Rey hasn't announced a real tour yet, so she can't be eliminated.

  9. Eminem, Thievery Corp, Foster the People, Arcade Fire, The Roots, Lykke Li... are all playing Squamish Fest the weekend after Osheaga... so could easily be in the mix...

    1. These acts (except Arcade Fire) are in the mix.
However, there has been surprisingly little overlap between the two festivals in the past.

  10. Wouldn't be surprised if The Head and the Heart were there. They are totally open that weekend and will be in BC the week after. I know they performed last year but that gap and their location seems suspicious.

    1. Osheaga very rarely has repeat acts in consecutive years, but it has happened.
Note that there was little overlap between Squamish and Osheaga in 2013.

  11. Lorde, Cage The Elephant, Foster the People, Bastille, and to a lesser extent Chidish Gambino and Lana Del Rey are most likely locks I think. Neutral Milk Hotel would be a good bet as well.

    1. Lorde isn't playing nearly as many festivals as I thought she would this summer.
Cage the Elephant and Foster the People can be good bets.
Neutral Milk Hotel and Bastille are in Europe during Osheaga, so they will not play.
Childish Gambino is playing a few festivals, so that's possible.

  12. I believe Jack White is a good bet. He's scheduled to play two festivals this summer (Governors Ball and Free Press Summer Fest). He's also rumoured to play Bonnaroo. Finally, he said he'd be releasing his new album sometime in 2014 as he was finishing to produce it. A tour with some festivals seems strongly probable to me.

  13. Any thoughts on Pearl Jam as a possibility?
